Journeyman Electrician (Seattle and Tacoma)

Lumenal Lighting is a privately owned full-service lighting company. Established in 1980, we provide lighting solutions to the commercial, industrial and institutional marketplace throughout the Pacific Northwest. Our services include lighting design and installation, lighting maintenance, retrofit efficiency upgrades, product sales and recycling. We are currently looking for Washington state licensed EL01 Journeyman Electricians, and 07 and 07A specialty Journeyman Electricians.

The following are qualifications required to be considered for the position.

• A valid WA state Electrical Journeyman License
• Some prevailing wage work
• Work five days a week, eight hours a day or four 10-hour days as required
• Work day, swing and night shifts (flexible hours depending on job)
• Work out of town depending on job (lodging is provided)
• Pass a drug test and background check
• Possess a current WA state driver license with a clean driving record
• Eligible to legally work in the United States
• Have reliable transportation
• Have all tools needed for job
• Lighting experience is a plus
• Must have the ability and willingness to learn new skills, follow instructions, take initiative and lead by example

This is a full time position. This position is not part time or seasonal. It is for individuals who would like to stay and grow with the company.

- Controller (Mountlake Terrace)

Controller (Mountlake Terrace)

Lumenal Lighting is a privately owned full-service lighting company. Established in 1980, we provide lighting solutions to the commercial, industrial and institutional marketplace throughout the Pacific Northwest. Our services include lighting design and installation, lighting maintenance, retrofit efficiency upgrades, product sales and recycling. We are currently looking for a dynamic individual to fulfill our Controller position.

The Controller of Lumenal Lighting will be expected to perform the following functions:

  • Monthly GAAP internal financial statements based on the ASC 606 revenue recognition method of accounting including divisional statements and budget forecast comparisons
  • Monthly work in progress schedules
  • Quarterly board reports to the board of directors
  • Annual operating expense budget, revise as needed
  • Month-end close process including overhead allocation and job cost to general ledger reconciliation
  • Work with CPA firm to produce annual reviewed financial statements
  • Ad hoc reports for management as needed
  • Maintain fixed asset schedule, book depreciation
  • Daily cash management/weekly cash flow projections
  • Monthly and annual excise tax returns
  • Personal property tax affidavits
  • Quarterly payroll taxes; annual W-2 and 1099 filings
  • Weekly payroll tax deposits
  • General insurance and medical insurance renewal, management, and negotiation
  • Order bid bonds/payment and performance bonds
  • Manage certificates of insurance
  • Quarterly compliance certificates and monthly borrowing base certificates
  • Coordinate annual physical inventory; reconcile in QuickBooks
  • 401(k) administration
  • Prepare OSHA 300 and 300A
  • Monthly payment application billings for installation team projects and provide to owner or project manager
  • Review monthly postings for AP to ensure proper coding
  • Oversee payroll processing and supervise accounting assistants
  • Ensure proper prevailing wages paid according to contract
  • Backup to preparing certified payrolls, filing intents to pay prevailing wage, and affidavit of wages paid

This is a full-time position. It is for candidates with high level accounting skills that strive to be part of dynamic and dedicated team intent on growing a thriving business. CPA/CMA Preferred.
